FRIM Inc has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DMELL Global to supply high-quality tropical forest planting materials for the Saudi Green Initiative. This initiative aims to plant 10 billion trees by 2030 in Saudi Arabia and expand to 40 billion across the Middle East by 2040.
FRIM Inc, a subsidiary of the Forest Research Institute Malaysia (Frim), will provide technical support, capacity building, and consultancy for large-scale ecological restoration. If finalized, FRIM Inc is estimated to supply up to eight million trees per year until 2030, contributing to the first phase of Saudi Arabia’s tree-planting program. DMELL Global will act as the coordinator between FRIM Inc and Arabian Peninsula Forests, the leader of the initiative.
